Little Girl Daybeds
Little Girl Daybeds For Today and Tomorrow
A Comforter For The Present - A Daybed For The Future
There's just something about little girls and daybeds that go together. While daybeds come in many different styles and finishes, little girl daybeds are going to be the "sweet" ones.
If your daughter is old enough, let her be part of the decision-making process. Here are some general suggestions to help you accomplish the look you desire.
Sleepover Fun
Unless your daughter has absolutely no friends, you will definitely want one of the girls trundle beds so that you have that extra bed for the sleepovers that are common during the grade school years.
With the easy-to-use daybed pop up trundle, you can have 2 twin beds for when just one friend is spending the night, or you can put the beds together and have a king-size bed that will accommodate 3 or 4 not-going-to-sleep-much-anyway chatty little girls.
White Is In
White is another way to create little girl daybeds. You can choose from either wicker or a girl's white wood daybed. While the color white is obviously generic, it is great for girls since it coordinates well with girlie colors ... like pinks, pastels, or even the brighter neon-like colors that are often popular with girls at varying stages.
Daybed Comforter Set ...
If you already have a daybed that you're wanting to use that is not a particularly girlish-looking one, a girl's daybeds comforter set goes a long way in creating the look you want. You can choose from something that is "hot" at the moment or you can just choose something that fits her interests now, graduating to more age-appropriate ones as needed.
... Or Coordinated Bedding
If you can't find the exact comforter set to match a theme she has her heart set on, simply select a set that will coordinate with the rest of the room and then focus on the girls daybed bedding and maybe some throw pillows to finish the look.
For instance, if Dora is the theme but you can't find a Dora daybed ensemble, just buy the sheet set you want and every time she crawls in under the sheets, she'll be happy with her theme.
There is nothing special about daybed bedding since you're just working with a regular twin-size mattress. Any linens will work with your daybed.
So start by looking at little girl daybeds ... then progress to the comforter set ... and then focus on the bedding. If you can get all 3 that you want, great! Everyone will be happy! But if you have to compromise a little in one area, the other two should be sufficient to get the whole look you are going for.
And remember, in a few years she will want a different theme or look anyway. So choose your daybed with the future in mind, but let the present determine the comforter set and the bedding.
